The Texas RMS Packet Stations/VARA FM Station Uptimes webpage contains information on 170+ VHF/UHF packet/VARA FM stations in North and South Texas.
The Texas CATRAC Packet/VARAFM Station Uptimes webpage is a subset of the above list, showing the stations that support the 11 counties served by CATRAC.
As long as the internet is up and working, most of the information is updated approximately every 5 minutes.
Columns Explained:
- District County – Denotes which Section, District, and County the station is located in
- Callsign – Shows the callsign for the station
- Frequency – Shows the frequency of the station
- Time Since Check-in – Shows when the station was last polled through the internet and which stations are not linked to the Internet
- % Uptime – Calculation of Uptime.
- Digipeater – Shows if the site can be used as a Digipeater.
- This can be used to reach a more distant station that is a gateway to the Internet or has HF forwarding
- Email – List the Winlink email address for that site
- M – Modes and data speeds – you can mouse over the column header to get the column legend on Modes and Speeds
- R – Relay info – you can mouse over the column header to get the column legend on Relay types
- Notes – Usefull info about that site
Since this info is invaluable during a power/internet outage, you are encouraged to print this list on paper and save it as a PDF.
